An international, early-career research community
FYR creates space for the next generation of researchers in homeopathy to share ideas, challenge assumptions, learn from one another and build lasting scientific connections.
01 / Who we are
FYR — Forum for Young Researchers is an international, non-profit initiative supporting students and early-career scientists who work in, or are interested in, homeopathy research.
Our main focus is on PhD and MD students and researchers at the beginning of their careers. Bachelor’s and Master’s students are welcome, as are experienced researchers who wish to contribute through mentoring, exchange and support.
Launched in the context of the Homeopathy Research Institute (HRI) conference in 2023, FYR is now working towards becoming an independent, member-led association based in Switzerland, while remaining open to collaboration with HRI and other scientific organisations.
02 / What we do
We offer a constructive and critically scientific environment where emerging researchers can develop their projects — and themselves.
Present emerging ideas, preliminary results and ongoing projects in a supportive setting.
Connect basic, clinical and related research perspectives through open scientific discussion.
Meet peers, mentors and experienced researchers across institutions and countries.
Workshops, feedback, mentoring and opportunities to grow professionally.
Looking ahead: we hope to expand hybrid participation and, where funding allows, help early-career researchers attend scientific events.
03 / Our journey
From our first meeting in London to a follow-up workshop in Thessaloniki, FYR is taking shape through scientific exchange and community involvement.
A half-day, hybrid seminar held ahead of the HRI conference. It introduced a forum for new researchers and enabled discussion between early-career and senior scientists.
First FYR eventThe published programme for the free pre-conference workshop at Makedonia Palace Hotel included talks on building research connections, networking coffee and an open discussion on challenges and opportunities in homeopathy research.

05 / Get involved
The proposed association statutes distinguish between two ways of participating. Membership procedures and any fees will be confirmed after formation.
Active membership
For students at Bachelor’s, Master’s, MD or PhD level and early-career researchers. Under the draft statutes, active members have voting and election rights at the General Assembly.
Supporting membership
For experienced researchers, mentors, institutions and others who support FYR academically, professionally or financially. Under the draft statutes, supporting members participate without voting rights.
Interested? Send us a brief introduction. The Board will manage admission once the association has been established.
